Megan Oppenheimer is a Costume Designer for TV and film.
Megan is primarily obsessed with people. Her favorite costuming could be called "gritty realism", as she loves to create characters that are totally believable through their unique imperfections. She works with texture and layers to make dynamic visuals, and does significant research to capture the essence of both contemporary and period characters. She really believes that costumes serve the characters first, and should give the audience subliminal or subtle clues about those characters in a transparent way.
Megan has a Bachelor of Design in Fashion, and has worked at the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto, the National Theatre in London, and the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, in addition to the many film and tv projects she has undertaken. She is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States, and loves to travel for work and pleasure.
